KW-W-01How we work · revision 2026-10-12-demo-2

How a request becomes a batch

Eight stages, one named contact per drawing revision, and every date confirmed in writing.

1.0Eight stages

  1. 1Check and prepare

You try the capability check, then prepare an RFQ by hand or with your assistant.

  2. 2Send one request

Drawings are optional. In this demo only a bundled sample can be attached.

  3. 3Coordinator check

Milan checks missing specifications, destination and general application.

  4. 4Engineering review

Bas agrees revision, critical features, material, finish, inspection and documents.

  5. 5Written quotation

You receive price, VAT, shipping, validity and payment terms. An RFQ is never an order.

  6. 6Slot and setup

Noor agrees the production slot. Material arrives, setup and first-piece checks happen.

  7. 7Inspect and pack

Elise runs the final inspection. The packing note carries revision and quantity.

  8. 8Repeat from the record

The next batch starts from the last approved record. You confirm revision, quantity and date.

3.0What affects a quotation

Setup is spread over the quantity. Tolerances, material, finish and documents can each add work. No formula turns these examples into your price.

Sample pricing written for this fictional business, 12 October 2026. EUR excluding VAT.

4.0Repeat orders

Tell us the last accepted revision, the quantity now needed and anything that changed. We review the material, manufacturing route, fixture and inspection plan against the agreed record. A proposed change is discussed before manufacture. The demo stores no previous orders.

5.0Quotation topics

Illustrative topics, not terms of sale.

Specification
The quotation identifies the drawing or model revision, quantities and unresolved requirements.
Price and scope
It names the work, any excluded finish or documentation, currency, VAT and shipping treatment.
Validity and payment
It states how long the offer remains open and when payment is due. This demo sets no contractual period or deposit.
Dates
The business confirms production and dispatch assumptions, external processing and transport separately.
Inspection and changes
Agree the features, evidence and acceptance process. Discuss changes to the accepted specification before work proceeds.
Problems and responsibility
The actual supplier’s agreed terms state how to report a problem and how responsibilities are handled. No complaint deadline or liability limit is invented here.

Shipping, Incoterm and destination tax are agreed in the quotation. Delivery outside the EU goes through a destination and end-use review.

6.0Questions

Can I ask about one part?

Yes. Start with a quantity of one. Setup, material and inspection requirements affect the quotation.

Is the capability check a quotation?

It checks the illustrated ranges. We review the drawing, finish, inspection and date before quoting.

What if my material is not listed?

Choose Other or not decided and name the grade in your request. We will review it.

Does a tolerance selection cover the whole drawing?

No. Identify the critical features and their requirements. Geometrical tolerances and inspection methods need separate review.

Which files help?

A STEP model and a dimensioned PDF drawing with the same revision. In this demo you can use a bundled sample; genuine drawings are not uploaded.

Can you arrange finishing?

Describe the finish and critical surfaces. We confirm availability, any external supplier and inspection responsibilities in the quotation.

When can my parts arrive?

Give your requested date. Material, review, production and shipping need confirmation before we agree delivery.

How is VAT handled?

Illustrated prices are in EUR excluding VAT. VAT, shipping and delivery terms are confirmed in the quotation.

How long will the quotation and parts take?

The demo shows sample reply, quote and production bands, each with its own starting point. Your quotation confirms the actual dates.

Can you quote several quantities?

Give one screening quantity and up to two alternatives for the same specification. We quote each alternative separately.

What stays the same on a repeat order?

We review the accepted revision, material, process, fixture and inspection plan. Tell us any changes before we quote.

Can we discuss an NDA first?

Yes, state that you need an NDA discussion before sharing confidential files. This demo accepts no genuine files and makes no agreement.
